About This Ensemble

The jazz band performs a full evening concert at a historic Seattle jazz venue, open to conference participants and the wider Seattle community. The program blends classic swing with blues, funk, Latin, and contemporary jazz, with a focus on music by diverse and underrepresented artists. This is a ticketed public event, one of the most visible performance opportunities of the conference week.

Music & Programming

The Jazz Band will perform a book of 15–16 accessible big-band charts. The repertoire spans swing, funk, Latin, and modern jazz styles. Charts are chosen by the Conference Artistic Committee with a focus on music by underrepresented composers and artists.

Music packets will be sent to all participants in late May to early June 2027, approximately 45 days before the conference.
